EDUCATION

Our ‘Education thematic area’ focuses on enhancing access to quality education and promoting child development in marginalized and vulnerable communities. Through advocacy, capacity building, and community engagement, this thematic area works to address systemic barriers to education, promote child protection, and create inclusive and supportive learning environments.

Key Highlights:
● Promoting Educational Access for Marginalized Groups: Projects like Youth on the Move and the Family Health Program (Literacy/Life Skill Program) empower out-of-school youth, women, and girls by providing access to education, vocational training, and life skills development.

● Child Protection and Development: Projects such as the Protection-Community Engagement and Sponsorship Plan (P-CESP) focuses on addressing child protection issues like child marriage, labor, and substance abuse while strengthening child-friendly governance through advocacy and community engagement.
● Civic Education and Awareness: We go beyond formal education system to educate the community members as part of their empowerment. Example is ‘The Civic and Voter Education Program’ which engages communities to increase awareness about democratic rights and responsibilities, promoting informed participation among marginalized groups, including women and Dalits.
● Conflict Mitigation Through Education: Similarly, we address the issue of peace and conflict either by the projects like “The Engaging Chure Bhavar Youth to Reduce Conflict’ which has focused objective on peace and conflict, or by integrating the issues in projects with the priority under thematic areas. We have trained youth in conflict management, promotes advocacy campaigns, and peacebuilding, contributing to the education and socio-political development.
