The need to swiftly engage with hospitals or healthcare institutions for health ailments cannot be overstated. Rapid intervention holds the potential to mitigate possible hazards. Viable solutions are now at hand. Tara Tamang, aged 68, has grappled with a health issue that first emerged roughly 35 years ago. Her ordeal with uterine prolapse began after giving birth to her initial daughter in Gaighat, Udayapur. As time elapsed, this predicament persistently deteriorated.
In the previous year, Tara underwent a health assessment in the Udayapur district as part of a program conducted through the collaboration of ADRA Nepal and BWSN. This evaluation identified her uterine prolapse as a thirddegree condition.
Tara's uterine prolapse had significantly hindered her daily life. Mobility was challenging, and her condition thwarted her ability to move freely. Despite having a vaginal pessary inserted in private hospital Gaighat, Udayapur, her condition exhibited limited improvement. As her ailment worsened, anxiety and distress escalated. With her condition worsening, her self-assurance waned.
In February, with the ADRA and BWSN support and guidance, Tara underwent another health assessment. After the examination, she was referred to Janakpur for surgery. On March 3rd, a successful surgical procedure lasted over two and a half hours. Although she confronted some post-surgery health concerns, they gradually subsided. Her quality of life has since notably improved.
Presently, she periodically visits the hospital for health follow-ups together with Roving Service Provider. She adheres to medical advice, prescribed medications, and a proper diet. The municipal hospital further supplies her with necessary guidance and recommendations. Tara articulates, "I am now at peace. The pain and struggles I endured are no longer present." Tara's journey has illuminated the significance of timely medical intervention at hospitals or healthcare institutions. She comprehended that addressing health challenges early can avert their progression to a more severe state. She underscores, "Timely engagement with hospitals or healthcare institutions for health issues is crucial. Early treatment can offer solutions to mitigate potential risks. Viable solutions are now accessible."
